You might have heard the big news: WeAreDevelopers is hosting a new event in December! AI and Blockchain professionals as well as enthusiasts will be joining us on 4th and 5th of December at Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.
In order to help you better prepare for the WeAreDevelopers AI Congress Vienna, we’ve created your congress checklist:

1. Get your Congress Pass

Oops, you overslept the Super Early Bird offer, but you can still be one of the lucky 500 to secure a Sleepy Bird ticket. Get yours before they’re gone and save yourself €180.

2. Book Your Flight and Accommodation

Once you’ve purchased your pass, it’s time to start planning your trip. Thanks to its central position in Europe, Vienna offers great transportation connections regardless of whether you are travelling by plane, train, car or ship. Check out the webpage of WienTourismus for further information on getting to Vienna.
Vienna is not only Austria’s capital and largest city, it’s also home to a number of major international organizations like the United Nations, UNHCR, IAEA and OPEC. While this means that Vienna is used to hosting visitors from all over the world, it also means that with all the meetings and conferences, it’s sometimes difficult to find affordable accommodations. Our advice is to start looking early and be open to alternative forms of accommodation like Airbnb.
The conference will be held in the regal atmosphere of the Hofburg Vienna, which is located in the heart of the city and easy to reach by public transportation. Vienna’s excellent network of subway trains, streetcars and buses makes getting around the city a breeze.

3. Plan Your Congress Days

With a venue offering 4,000m2 of AI and blockchain fun, you might want to think about how you can get the most out of the two congress days.
First, there is the event with hundreds of talks and sessions.
Besides the talks, there is the expo area where developers can try out some of the cool technologies, meet interesting companies or score a job if they’re looking for one.
Then there are the workshops, which give a hands-on experience and teach you how to code a particular problem in a particular programming language, for example. You also get to meet experienced fellow devs there, as well as in the networking zone, maybe over a cup of coffee. The meeting area is similar to the networking zone. It’s a quiet place where you can collaborate on your next project together with some of the people you met at that last workshop during the Congress.
Also, like at the World Congress 2018, there will once again be an after-party that promises to be legendary. Hang out with new friends and potential colleagues in a laid back atmosphere. Some of the best ideas come when you are relaxing and having fun. Unleash your creativity at the Congress after-party.

4. Explore Vienna

You might want to think about leaving some time to explore Vienna, one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in Europe. Home to many world-class museums and a thriving music, theater and art scene, Vienna is also buzzing with a wealth of cool cafes, hip restaurants and cosy bars (including many craft beer breweries). Winter is a particularly wonderful time to visit Vienna: check out the dazzling Christmas markets, go ice skating against the background of the Town Hall, or take a ride on the world-famous ferris wheel in the Prater. Day or night, Vienna has lots to offer in the way of culture, history and entertainment.

See you soon!
