Meet Adobe Scan.

Working from your mobile device has just gotten a lot easier. Adobe just released on Thursday a new app allowing users to create editable PDFs by simply snapping a picture of a document, turning physical documents into digital and workable documents on your mobile device. Work on the go by taking pictures and editing, or simply taking pictures from your camera roll and upload them into the app for easy editing.

The Scan App uses Adobe Sensei, Adobe’s machine learning platform, which detects words, document borders, and so much more. Sensei makes the documents editable and searchable on any mobile device.

Unfortunately, the app does not work as well on Androids, it seems the scan quality is excellent but there are still some bugs preventing the document from being properly searched with keywords, as the app sometimes misses a few mentions in the document of the selected keyword.

Other than these minor glitches, the app will certainly prove – especially as usage increases and minor issues are fixed –  to be a great step forward in the continuing process of moving work, business, and everyday online activities to mobile devices. You can try Scan out for yourself here.
